Play idea: The wild carriage ride with Stapelstein®
Motor skills and Social competence
Anleitung
Build a carriage by placing a Stapelstein® Original with the open side facing up on a large hand or bath towel. One child becomes the coachman by sitting in the Original. Another child plays the horse and tries to pull the towel over the smooth floor. The child in the carriage practices keeping balance and staying seated safely.
Varianten
Commands
The child sitting in the carriage can give different commands to their horse:
- Walk (slow pace)
- Trot (medium pace)
- Gallop (fast pace)
- Change direction: right, left, straight ahead
- Brrrrr (stop)
Feet in the air
Try to maintain balance as a coachman while stretching your feet in the air. To get a feel for this task, use the command "Walk."
Carriage tournament
Two or more carriages compete against each other and must complete a predetermined route / course. Whoever loses balance starts again from the beginning.
Variation of "Carriage tournament":
If you win a carriage race, you receive one more Stapelstein® Original and upgrade the carriage, so the seat gets slightly higher each time. We recommend stacking a maximum of three Originals on top of each other.
