Play idea: Balance letters with Stapelstein®

Balance, Writing, and Agility

Anleitung

Each playing child stands on a Stapelstein® element. The game leader calls out a letter. The children then balance on one leg on the element and try to write the letter in the air with the other leg.

Varianten

Task switching

In addition to letters, you can also draw other things in the air: shapes, simple pictures, numbers, words, sentences.

Right or left?

The game leader specifies which leg should be used to write – right or left?

Guessing round

Form pairs or small groups. One child stands on one leg on the element and thinks of a shape, letter, word, or number to draw or write in the air with their foot. Everyone else tries to guess what is being shown to you.

Mirror

Two of you stand on one leg with your elements directly opposite each other. One child slowly draws something in the air with their foot. The other child tries to follow with their free leg like a mirror image.

Difficulty level

Is that too easy for you? Then you can increase the difficulty with the following variations: close your eyes, use the other leg, balance on the Stapelstein® Board, balance something on your head.
