Play idea: The floor is lava with Stapelstein®
reaction, balance, and attention
Anleitung
The Stapelstein® elements are distributed on the playing field. The distances between the elements should not be greater than a step length, so they remain reachable. On the command "The floor is lava," the children may only move on the elements without touching the floor.
Varianten
Tricky Rescue
The color of each Stapelstein® element is linked to a condition. For example, yellow elements are first stepped on with the right foot, red ones first with the left foot. The blue ones are stepped on with both feet simultaneously (= jump with both feet) and the yellow ones are stepped on backwards.
Wobbly Affair
You place Stapelstein® Boards or other materials between the individual elements, making the transitions significantly wobblier.
Additional Installations
You can additionally use the elements at different heights. Moreover, you can incorporate more material to extend the paths through the room, for example, cushions, carpet tiles, mats, etc.
Exciting Encounter
If two of you meet, you have these two options:
- You find a solution together on how to pass each other without falling.
- You high-five each other with both hands and choose a different direction.
"Start" Stapelstein®
If you can't keep your balance and step into the lava (= on the floor), you re-enter from a previously determined "start element."
Time is Running
You form teams. Each team tries to get from the previously determined "start element" to a "goal element" as quickly as possible without touching the floor. The time is stopped during this. If you touch the floor, you start over without stopping the time. Which team is the fastest at the goal?
