Play idea: Balance in pairs with Stapelstein®

Concentration and Balance

Anleitung

Two Stapelstein® Originals are placed on top of each other so that the two wavy sides fit into each other. One curved side rests on the ground, the other faces upwards. The children play in pairs. Child A holds the two Originals firmly at the bottom while Child B tries to position themselves on it and maintain balance.

Varianten

Change of position

Child A, who holds the elements, gives Child B different instructions on how to position themselves on the Stapelstein® Originals. Examples are:
- Both feet
- Sitting with feet in the air
- One-legged (like a flamingo)
- Squatting (like a frog/rabbit)
- Balance (like a glider)
- Eyes closed/eyes open
- Cross arms (like an elephant)
- Cross feet (like a knot in the legs)
- Feet one behind the other (like a dancer)

Teamwork

It's not about holding the Stapelstein® Originals firmly, but about supporting the team member by offering them hands. Alternatives:
- Both hands/one hand
- Both forearms/one forearm
- Both shoulders/one shoulder
- Both index fingers/one index finger

Wobble test

Child B is already a real pro at balancing and feels confident? Then Child A can let go of both the elements and the hands as support. Additionally, Child A gently taps the balancing child on various parts of the body with the index finger, such as the stomach, back, shoulder blade, arm, leg, etc., to slightly throw them off balance.
