coordination and fine motor skills

Anleitung

Various everyday objects are spread out on the floor, such as sandbags, pens, small figures, colorful clothespins, socks, cloths, etc. The Stapelstein® elements are laid out in different colors with the open side up in a row on the floor. All participating children take off their shoes and socks and play barefoot. The objects distributed on the floor should now be picked up with the feet and sorted into the corresponding elements.

Possible sorting aids

- Sort the objects into the element with a similar color.
- Sort the objects from small to large. The largest objects are placed in the element at the end of the row. The smallest objects are placed in the element at the beginning of the row.
- Sort the objects by texture. Everything that is soft belongs in the yellow element, everything that is hard in the green one.
- Sort the objects by warm and cold. For example, everything warm is brought into the red element, everything cold into the blue one.
- Sort the objects by shapes – round, square, triangular.
- The objects have a relation to the seasons.

Carrying numbers

Distribute number cards from 1 to 10 on the floor and place an object next to each number. Now place 10 Stapelstein® elements with the open side up in a row and also mark them with the numbers from 1 to 10. Now sort the objects in ascending and descending order with your feet. Start with object one and transport it with your feet into element one, object two goes into element two, and so on.

Variant of "Carrying numbers"

Several similar objects are distributed in the room, such as 2 marbles, 3 cloths, 4 cubes, etc. The objects should now be sorted in ascending or descending order.

Math lesson

If you are already school children, you can provide the notes next to the objects with math problems, for example, 3+2=?. In this case, you transport the object with your feet into element 5.
