Play idea: Stack stories with Stapelstein®

Speaking, Attention, and Memory

Anleitung

The game leader tells a story. For example: "Elisa and Paul are hiking up a high mountain. On the way, they encounter a blue bird. Next, they see a beautiful yellow flower. Further up, they walk under a large green fir tree." According to the colors within the story, the participating children build their story stacks. After each sentence, what has happened so far is repeated together with the help of the colored stack.

Color stories

Each color is assigned a specific meaning by you. For example, green stands for plants, blue for animals, yellow for names, and red for countries. As soon as an animal appears in the story, for example, you place a blue Stapelstein® Original on your story stack.

Creative stories

This time you build a large colorful story stack at the beginning. Then think up a story that matches the color sequence. If the stack has a yellow element (name) at the bottom and a red one (country) second, the story could begin with: "Momo always wanted to travel to Antarctica ..."

Initial sound stories

You can also assign different initial letters to the colors. Then red could stand for S, blue for O, yellow for M, and green for L. When telling the creative stories, you always think of words that match these initial sounds.

Word type stories

The different colors of the Stapelstein® elements can also stand for word types. For example, red stands for verbs, yellow for nouns, green for adjectives, and blue for numbers. The story for blue, green, yellow, red could then be: "Noah had to wait seven long days before he finally ..."
