Wee-woo

Emergency vehicles should always have priority in traffic and be allowed to drive freely. If a blue element is additionally held up, all children are allowed to play emergency vehicles with loud "wee-woo" and zip through the room. If the traffic light shows red or yellow, they can continue to drive – just a little slower.

Vehicle change

The child playing the traffic light also calls out different types of vehicles that the other participating children are allowed to imitate:
- Motorcycle: An element is put on as a "helmet."
- Excavator: The children make themselves big, move slowly, and form a scoop arm with their arms.
- Truck: Each child stands on tiptoe and extends their elbows far out to be as tall and wide as possible.

Convoy

You form several small groups or one large one. One child "drives" ahead and moves through the room – sometimes faster, sometimes slower. All others follow like in a convoy or a car parade. Each participating child can choose which vehicle they want to be. The "traffic light child" continues to regulate the traffic.

Signal change

The meaning of the traffic light colors can be changed:
- Green for a roundabout: All "driving" children make a circle – pay attention to the same direction of travel.
- Yellow for a play street: All children sneak very slowly, like in slow motion.
- Red for a stop sign: Each vehicle stops immediately and looks right and left before continuing.
